How It Works

Solar panel output depends on system size, peak sun hours, and efficiency losses. Panels degrade about 0.5% per year, so a system producing 10,000 kWh in year one will produce about 8,800 kWh in year 25. Most manufacturers guarantee at least 80% output after 25 years.
